  • Target is doubling down on long-term growth. Leadership made it clear that Q1 was encouraging, but not enough to call it a lasting trend yet. Investments in stores, payroll, remodels, supply chain, and technology are all being positioned as part of a multi-year rebuild strategy.

  • "Newness" is becoming a major focus again. Executives repeatedly pointed to assortment refreshes, large-scale category resets, and culturally relevant partnerships as key traffic drivers. From Roller Rabbit and Pokémon to the upcoming home and grocery resets, Target is leaning back into curation and discovery.

  • The guest experience is improving and Target knows it needed to. Target openly acknowledged past challenges around in-stocks and store experience, while highlighting improvements in food essentials, beauty, staffing, and operational tools. Much of the confidence in raised guidance appears tied to seeing consumers respond positively to those changes.
